More than 300 protesters, including 88 Generation Students, the NLD, and veteran politician Win Naing, took part in a demonstration in the northern outskirts of Rangoon. Groups from Insein, Mayangone, and Hlaing Townships converged at Hledan traffic point. The 2,000 strong crowd continued on to Sule Pagoda in downtown Rangoon. There were also demonstrations in other parts of Rangoon, including South Dagon Township and San Pya bazaar.
