On 19 April 2011, the regime’s Gazette announced the appointment of President Thein Sein’s Advisory Board. The board is made up of three committees (political, economic, and legal) with each committee having three members.

A retired Tatmadaw Colonel who currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Myanmar Writers and Journalists Association. Previous positions: Worked with the Research Department at the War Office.

A former police Colonel. He has also directed the regime’s Transnational Organized Crime unit and served as a member of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control.
